The degree, and why two institutions are named

Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), 2018–2020 Studied at Govt Post Graduate College, Burewala, which is affiliated with Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan.

Both names belong in the answer, and leaving either out gets it wrong. Pakistan's public university system works by affiliation: teaching happens at the college, while the degree is awarded under the university's authority. He attended Burewala. The qualification sits under BZU.

The coursework was software engineering principles, database management, and system analysis. The database half turned out to matter most — being able to read a schema and write a join is what later let him verify test results in SQL rather than trusting an interface.

Before that

Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS), 2016–2018 Superior College, Vehari. Computer science fundamentals, mathematics, and introductory programming.

Matriculation Pakistan Higher Secondary School, Machianwala — the village school nearest home.

Certifications

Hands-on Manual Testing — SQA Trainings, 2025 Practical manual testing against real scenarios: test planning, execution, bug reporting, and documentation. Covered test case design, defect tracking, the SDLC and STLC, and SQL queries for verification.

Selenium with Java Automation — SQA Trainings, 2024 Browser automation with Selenium WebDriver and Java — element location strategies, test script structure, and automation fundamentals.

Both are practical rather than theoretical, which is deliberate. Automation is the direction he is actively growing in.

What the qualifications did and did not provide

Worth being straight about, because computer science degrees are often assumed to teach testing. This one did not.

What the degree gave him: the analytical foundation. Database design, systems thinking, and enough programming to read code rather than only use software.

What it did not: anything about quality assurance as a discipline. No test design, no defect management, no exposure to how a release actually gets signed off. That is normal — QA is under-taught almost everywhere.

Where the actual skill came from: the first job. Testing a real-estate ERP at QuaidSoft from 2021, on a system where modules shared data and a change in one screen surfaced as a wrong number in a report three modules away. Four years of that teaches things no syllabus covers.

The certifications came later, and their value was mostly in putting structured vocabulary around practices he had already worked out — knowing that what he had been doing is called boundary value analysis makes it easier to explain to a team.

Verifying the credential

If you are checking it: the college holds the attendance and results record, and the university is the awarding body. Send a verification request to Govt Post Graduate College, Burewala with Bahauddin Zakariya University named as the affiliating institution. A request sent to BZU alone, without the college, is likely to come back unmatched — which is the usual cause of a degree appearing unverifiable when it is not.

For students on the same route

From someone who took it: the degree is the entry ticket and very little more. What decided the career was the first job, and the habit of learning the parts nobody taught — SQL, how a release is actually run, and how to write a defect report a developer can act on.

If you are at a college like Burewala now and wondering whether the institution will hold you back, it will not. What will hold you back is waiting for the syllabus to teach you testing, because it will not do that either.

For recruiters

The verifiable claims are: BCS studied at Govt Post Graduate College Burewala under BZU affiliation, ICS from Superior College Vehari, matriculation from Pakistan Higher Secondary School Machianwala, and two SQA Trainings certifications. There is no master's degree and no foreign qualification.
